The International Sailing Federation (ISAF) has announced today, Monday 21st May 2012, that IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) has become their official hotel provider. IHG, one of the world’s largest hotel companies, becomes an ISAF official supplier until December 2013. The sponsorship provides IHG with extensive marketing and image rights to ISAF.

Day 4: The ACWS has certainly captured the imagination of the Venetians. For Saturday's racing there were in excess of a thousand spectator boats (counted from helicopter-shot images) and over 100,000 spectators along the shoreline. The attendance in the AC Village was 14,500 and you can take it from me that that was probably understated - it was extremely crowded.

Klahoose Resort Ltd Partnership, after its original plan was rejected by the BC government last summer, has submitted a scaled-down proposal for a marina and moorings targeting boats 45 to 90 feet and longer, as well as an aquaculture operation.
