Whittley Cruiser 2600 set to stun at Boat Show

Whittley Marine Group is set to stun boat lovers when its brand new Cruiser 2600 breaks cover at the BIA Melbourne Boat Show from 3 to 7 July.

Just one year after the Cruiser 2800 flagship starred at last year’s show, the Cruiser 2600 delivers similar European-inspired style in a brand new “pocket cruiser”.

With its smart styling, luxurious standard equipment and single-level living and sleeping, Australia’s biggest builder of trailerable fibreglass boats has delivered another classic Whittley Cruiser with outstanding space, equipment and performance.

The Cruiser 2600 replaces the award winning CR2590 model in the Whittley range.

Whittley Co-Owner and Managing Director, Neville Whittley, said the design team had taken the CR2590 single-level floor plan and refined it using knowledge gained from the CR2800 program.

“Our designers use Computer Aided Design software to digitally sculpt the new exterior shape, and all tooling is CNC machined ensuring the highest quality and surface finish.

“We believe our customers will be more than impressed with the result.

“People sometimes compare our boats and our engineering with top-class cars, but we like to think we set our own standard – the Whittley of boats, you might say, rather than the BMW of boats.”

The new Cruiser 2600 has an overall length of 8.05 metres and is powered by a Mercruiser sterndrive of up to 320 hp.

It provides spacious day cruising for eight and comfortable berths for four, all with the industry-leading quality of fit and finish for which Whittleys are famous.

Standard features include sun roof, pressurised hot water, fridge-freezer, toilet, shower, timber cabin doors and the full clears and camper covers that complete every Whittley Cruiser.

A total weight of around three tonnes for boat, motor and trailer means all this luxury and performance can be towed easily behind a four-wheel-drive.

Whittley Marine Group is Australia’s largest and most awarded builder of trailerable fiberglass boats, with a production capacity of more than 1600 boats per year at its Australian and American plants in Campbellfield, Victoria and Willacoochee, Georgia.
