The GC32 was tested in Dubai in a full sailing week with the first impressions from it being far better than expected. The excitement and the sailing quality this catamaran gave, was visible right from the beginning.

The 32 foott foiling catamaran has all the necessary specifications to be the new trend in sailing. With a total weight of 750Kg and a total sail area of 170m2 the boat is fast and exciting. All the latest technologies have been used making the boat a leading edge. Its double S dagger boards and its L shaped rudders can offer the lifting power needed in order for the boat to sail fast and be easy to handle at the same time.

Some of the best sailors in multihull racing have gathered at the Dubai Marina to combine their knowledge and experience in order to achieve the best outcome. Among them Flavio Marazzi and Roland Gaebler were lucky to sail and got amazed indeed. Many other professional sailors were also there to witness firsthand the future in extreme sailing.

The Great Cup 32 as the name indicates is aiming for a world race circuit that will attract many sponsors and audience and will make sailing more attractive to the general public. Different regional circuits are planned as well in order to maintain a low cost series for the owners and giving the possibility for local sponsorships to emerge.

More details about the boat can be found here: The Great Cup
