The third annual Sea Ray AquaPalooza will be a major celebration for dealer Andrew Short Marine, as they showcase Fergusons Boatshed Marina to their powerboat customers.
AquaPalooza is about having serious fun on the water. Held concurrently around the world in 150 different locations with the biggest event held on July 19, it is simply the world’s biggest boating bash, all courtesy of Sea Ray and its network of international dealers.
Last year the AquaPalooza attracted 10,000 boats and some 30,000 guests world-wide across its 120 events.
Andrew Short Marine, international Sea Ray dealer for 2004 to 2006, will be hosting the Sydney party at the company’s Fergusons Boatshed. The party will also be a celebration of the first year of their ownership of the boat shed, located in the protected bay of Middle Harbour, right on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour.

Andrew Short Marine’s acquisition of Fergusons Boatshed in July last year has ensured they are able to deliver to Sea Ray customers a better and more enjoyable product experience. 'We bought the marina to enhance our boat sales on Sydney Harbour and to provide facilities for our existing powerboat owners.
'One of the problems with having a boat on the harbour is finding somewhere to keep it. Ring around all the marinas – no, we are full, we’re full, we’re full! By owning the marina, as long as you buy a boat from us, we can find a spot for you.'
The marina offers a 45-berth modern floating marina, 30-ton travel lift, all the necessary marine services, 24-hour security, parking, accessibility to a fuel wharf nearby, and, a stunning cafe, perfect for a world-class party.
The 2008 Aqua (on the water) Palooza (party till you drop) will make full use of the stunning 75-seat, licensed Plonk! Cafe at Fergusons Boatshed. Sea Ray owners and friends will get to enjoy a day together full of live music, giveaways, prizes and fun activities for both adults and children It will be a great chance for Sea Ray enthusiasts to catch up.
Sea Ray owners will be able to berth their vessel at Fergusons Boatshed Marina for the afternoon. They can even stay there overnight to enjoy the AquaPalooza well into the evening.
Andrew Short says the cafe is a perfect venue for a party and very family friendly. 'The parents can have their meal and the kids can go play on the beach. There is also area out front under the trees near the beach where you can tie your dog up.
'At high tide you are probably only two feet from the water. I don’t know that there is another cafe on Sydney Harbour that is this close to the water.'
Rain, hail or shine, this will be the party of the year.
When the party is over, Andrew Short Marine customers will still be able to enjoy the relaxed facilities of Fergusons Boatshed. They can enjoy stopping by at the marina, tying up for a few hours to enjoy lunch or dinner at Plonk! Cafe with its modern Australian cuisine and the delightful outlook. Non-boaties can also enjoy the cafe for coffee and cake, or a meal from the full menu.

Plans are already in place to extend the marina within 12 months with another 10 berths being added.
