Hailed as a 'game changer', charismatic hair salon mogul and champion offshore racer, Stefan Ackerie has launched the remarkable new boat, the Razar Cat. The futuristically styled 4.1m long Razar Cat, which combines the best features of a jet-ski and an inflatable boat, is set to revolutionise fun on the water for thousands of people. It will also provide a highly functional alternative for maritime search and rescue organisations and be an efficient tender for superyachts and other large vessels. Brisbane-based Stefan, who has been part of the Australian boating scene for more than four decades, has been overseeing the development of the Razar Cat during the past 18 months. The concept made its world debut at the Gold Coast International Marine Expo over the weekend. The boat was on display at his new facility, Stefan Boating World, at 27 Waterway Drive, Coomera during the show which was centred around the Gold Coast City Marine Precinct. ‘The Razar Cat has many, many advantages over a jet-ski yet will provide a similar level of fun and excitement while costing about one-third less than the cheapest jet-ski,’ Stefan said.
 | Stefan trials the Razar Cat on the Gold Coast - Rob Mundle | ‘Its performance and stability are quite remarkable and it can carry up to five people. It is also very economical to run as it is powered by an outboard motor.’ Stefan put the prototype Razar Cat through its final sea trials this week and gave it the thumbs up, saying it had exceeded all his expectations: ‘While the Razar Cat will fill a void in the recreational boating market, I am sure that it will be something that the Water Police, search and rescue authorities and surf clubs will be looking at with a view to making their services more effective and efficient. The Razar Cat is currently being put into production and the first models are scheduled for pre-Christmas delivery. More at www.stefanboatingworld.com.au
