North Sails enjoy a victory lap

3Di technology is paying off on the racecourse, with Emirates Team New Zealand holding a clear lead at the Audi MedCup series utilising North Sails new 3Di technology, and top contenders including, TP52s, RC44s, the VO70 Puma, and the J/109 Blur also opting for the distinctive grey sails.

But whilst success is achieved internationally, staff and customers of North Sails secured five national titles in New Zealand waters during a three week period in April.

At the 2010 3.7 National Championships in Wellington Andrew Brown secured a good win, following rig and sail development conducted with our One Design head, Derek Scott.

'With the wing mast I have, we ended up doing three luff curve changes to my sail, and Derek did a great job to make my rig a real pleasure to sail with (and easy as well, meaning more time to look around)!' Andrew said in an article on Sail-World.com.

Jayvee Buchanan took out his second national championship title, this time in the Optimist class, at the Toyota Optimist National Championships held in Whitianga.

North Sails Sales and Marketing Manager, Andrew Wills was on the winning side of the 2010 New Zealand Etchells Championships, and Cameron Thorpe steered Hard Labour to victory in the NZL Farr 1020 class, whilst Grant Turnbull won the Tanaka Cup, for the Young 88 Owner Driver Championships.

Congratulations to all.
