Maritimo Race Team skills now available to the public
|
With extensive international contacts and skills and expertise built up over decades of high performance off-shore powerboat racing the Maritimo Race Shop Performance Centre is opening up its doors to the public for the first time. The team responsible for Maritimo’s World Off-Shore Powerboat Championship win last year is now able to assist racers be they on water or on road. Long term Maritimo race team guru Peter McGrath said with the skills and expertise that he and his team members have and their contacts internationally they have the capability to do anything that performance racers desire. 'We have contacts throughout the world, we have the Mercury Inboard High Performance Agency, we have people with links to Nascar and we have the skills and expertise to set up race boats and cars in a manner that gets top performance and also finds the reliability necessary to ensure success at the very top of the racing game,' he said. 'I have been personally involved in racing around the world for many years and I have been responsible for setting up the boats. ' We have the capability of doing whatever the customer wants whether it be off-shore, in-shore or on track.' Peter McGrath is in charge of the performance centre which is located at the company’s Coomera factory and also at its Hope Island travel lift and service centre. He said the team has had several third place finishes in the world off-shore racing championships and took the top gong late last year after many years of competing. As part of his new role he is also going to be heavily involved in the company’s warranty and service work for Maritimo owners. 'We want to improve our after sales customer care systems and ensure that any warranty issues are addressed quickly and to the 100 percent satisfaction of the customer,' he said.
