Another glorious winter's day in Sydney, for Day 3 of the Sydney International Boat Show.

At Cockle Bay marina, the outside display is at capacity and crowds are flocking to the marina, which is very busy.

Inside there is a huge crowd listening to the guest speakers at the Better Boating Lounge. I dropped by and listened to a chilling recollection of how sharks circled Crossing the Ditch Kayakers James Castrission and Justin Jones, who paddled for 62 days from Forster on the NSW north coast to New Plymouth in New Zealand last summer.

Their dramatic journey is not only the first kayak expedition to cross the Tasman Sea, but has gone into the history books as the longest trans-oceanic kayak journey ever undertaken by two adventurers.

The show stage is proving to be a must-see stopping place with crowds spilling out into the aisles and with a vast array of subjects on offer it is no wonder, as there is a presentation to interest most everyone. Make sure you come to the show and check out the programme, you won't be disappointed.

The Halls are brimming today with people interested in the huge range of goods and services on offer. There are certainly bargains to be had at the Show, from fishing rods to fashion and travel, from boat accessories to insurance - its all here at the Sydney International Boat Show.

The Halls are open daily from 10.00am to 8.00pm and the Marina is open from 10.00am until 6.00pm.

The Sydney International Boat Show runs through until Tuesday 5th August at Darling Harbour.
