World-renowned high-performance boat builder, Force Boats, has reached another milestone with the creation of its 200th boat.

Opened in 1995, Force Boats is still owned and operated by Rod Bickerton who remains obsessed by creating high-quality, high-performance hulls with the finest finish.

'To reach 200 boats is a milestone, 2013 will be our 18th year in business …it’s been a lot of hard work,' said Rod.

Boat number 200 – for a customer in Queensland - is an F24B, a luxurious 24-foot bow rider able to seat up to eight people. It will be powered by a Mercury Racing 565 big block.

'It’s a lovely boat; a great one to be our 200th,' said Rod. 'Like all our boats, it shows what we do best – design and build great hulls which allow the boat to excel.'

With a 21 degree, wave-smashing deep v dead rise, boat number 200 has been specifically designed to suit any water conditions, with triple stepped lifting foils and a stepped chine to create a fast, dry ride.

To commemorate Rod and the Force team reaching the 200 milestone, Mercury’s Director of Sales, Will Sangster, presented Rod and his wife Kelly with a special plaque.

Force Boats are a Mercury Marine High Performance OEM Dealer in Australia.

'Force Boats is synonymous with ski racing in this country, and what Rod has done over the past 17 years is amazing,' said Will.

Rod’s boats regularly win national and world titles. It’s no surprise that many of them are powered by Mercury Racing engines.

'People who buy from Force Boats know what it takes to win. So if you’ve bought a hull that’s a world beater, it makes plenty of sense to add a world beating power plant,' Will said.

Many things have changed since Rod created his first boat.

Following the development of the F18 nearly 18 years ago, there have been literally thousands of man hours poured into the creation of a high performance hull that is capable of not only providing a comfortable ride for the family but which can also be used as an unbeatable hull on the race track.

Now with a team of 13 people working out of its Sydney base, Force Boats continues to invest in research and development to further improve its design and manufacturing processes to keep it on top of the pack.

'We are extremely fortunate to have a very hard working team and they all have one goal in mind …to build the finest quality vessel available in the world!' said Rod.
